The fire also resulted in injuries to at least ten people, including six civilians and one firefighter.
Auto Fire (January 2025)
More recently, on January 13, 2025, a new wildfire, known as the Auto Fire, ignited near Ventura Boulevard and Auto Center Drive in Ventura. The fire burned approximately 5 acres with a moderate rate of spread. Evacuations were ordered for the Santa Clara River area between the 101 Freeway and Victoria Avenue. Firefighting efforts involved 75 personnel working to stop the fire’s forward progress.

As of January 14, 2025, the Los Angeles area, including Ventura County, remains under a “particularly dangerous situation” red flag warning due to incoming Santa Ana winds.
